Adorable dress. Fit everywhere but my chest. I wear a 42DD and normally 16 W and it was to snug across the chest and to loose at the very top. If I lean over you can see straight down. Hoping it stretches a smidge so I kept it.Purchased this dress for a 13-year-old. I selected the Ex Small size in red. The fabric is thick, it is nicely hemmed with a zipper at the back. The dress fits her well so I’m happy with the purchase.I purchased this dress for my (almost) 14 year old daughter in two colors. The fit is so flattering and I think would work well for most body types. I love that the neckline is not too low, which is something we really struggle with trying to find modest necklines. For reference, my daughter is 5 foot and around 115 pounds and she is wearing the XS.I took off a star for the material- as you can see from the picture, it wrinkles very badly. To be fair, this was straight out of the bag when I took this picture. If you get it out of the dryer as soon as it’s finished, you might can avoid this wrinkled mess. You will have to steam it or iron it the first time, though. I didn’t love the color of this dress (lavender) even though I normally like that color. Since the dress is so simple, I felt like the pale solid color combined with simple style made it seem kind of drab. (Just my personal opinion- it’s a nice classic style, though). I purchased this in a flower pattern too and really loved that one, so I am keeping that pattern and sending the lavender one back. Be sure to check the bag to make sure the belt came with it. My flower patterned one was missing the belt. The price was a little on the high side considering how simple the design is… but the flattering fit made it a winner for me. My daughter wore the flower one for Easter and looked so pretty and I could tell she felt pretty, too, so I would say that’s a winner for a self-conscious teenage girl.Fits nicely,looks exactly as pictured, very pleased.I wore this to my church convention! It is a bit see thru so I wore a slip underneath. It is a good buy! It fit me very well and the length is below my knees. It is true to size.I hate to iron. That said I get frustrated when I order clothes and they come stuck into a plastic bag and get so wrinkled they need Internet. It took me almost two hours to iron out all the wrinkles to make this dress presentable enough to wear. Love the fit, cut, and color but will stop ordering and closes that are not hung up and delivered properly.Such a fun dress! I’ve been eyeing it for a while and finally bought it. Worth every penny!The cap sleeves are a little weird and the cotton does wrinkle. I just hung it to dry and called it good. If you’re concerned, a quick iron would work.I ordered several 1950s vintage dresses for an event. I am returning most of them because they are poorly made or the material feels like paper, but this dress was a nice surprise!The dress is nicely made and the material is decent quality. The dress comes with a matching belt which is remarkably well-made.I would’ve given the dress five stars but I am short waisted and I have to have the dress altered to fit which is expensive! I can’t wait to get the dress back and we are it because it’s going to be so beautiful with the crinoline underneath.I definitely feel feminine and beautiful in this dress!I’m definitely going to order a couple more but I’m having trouble deciding on the color because there are so many beautiful choices.I definitely recommend this dress because of all the dresses I have ordered so far this has been the only one that was exceptional.I originally tried a large after reading reviews about the sizing. I am busty for my size (36d or dd) 4' 11 normally size 10 -12 but I had put on weight so veering more towards the 12+. The large fitted on the waist circumference with some give but the bodice was too long from shoulder to the waist and the shoulder area was far too large and baggy. I ordered a medium in the hope that the shoulder area would be smaller and it was. The material has a slight stretch to it and the medium fits perfectly everywhere on the body. The length sits mid calf and may need shortened slightly but I am waiting for a petticoat to arrive to see how the dress hangs before I do that. The pattern and colour are as I hoped - the background a pale turquoise/aqua and the flowers are pinky red. I'm hoping Covid emergency measures are relaxed before the end of the summer so I can wear it out - if not, I'll wear it sitting in my garden enjoying a very cold G & T.Super dress well made has elastane so gives a bit of stretch . Wore to Goodwood Revival with the black full petticoat felt fabulous . Did laugh when I spotted 10 other ladies in the same dress or similar all from amazon . Didn’t matter would as made so well .I ordered two fifties retro frocks, and DEFINITELY asked for XL. What came was XS. They were very pretty but so tiny that I didn't even know anyone I could have given them to. Returning them through Hermes, as requested, was a stressful experience. I've tried to order replacements of the right size, but there's something wrong with the ordering process. Very frustratingI bought this dress for my daughter’s forthcoming wedding. I wasnt expecting much but what I received was so much more. The dress is of very good quality cotton, the dress fitted in all the right places and feels so comfortable. I am not one for wearing dresses and this one I felt excited about. It is exactly as described in the picture. I also chose the lavender under skirt and the two together compliment each other very well. I am so looking forward to the wedding now.
